The Artevia product range has travelled as far as South Africa. Durban, a beach resort city on the Indian Ocean, chose to renovate its beach front with our decorative concrete. This superb accomplishment has already attracted passers-by and skateboarders as well as construction professionals.
Heading this prestigious project was the architect André Duvenage. Searching for an aesthetic and innovative product, he was struck by Artevia concrete, calling it "a high-quality product perfect for beachfront renovation". The project was challenging, requiring a robust material resistant to the effects of salt water and erosion. The project also demanded a variety of colours, textures and patterns for a high level of creativity.
Artevia met each of these needs to spectacular effect! The 3,000m² pedestrian promenade is now covered with a mix of Artevia products and a "Californian" brick-pattern pavement. The promenade also reflects the regional character, as the mixture was designed especially for the project.
